Uge 10: Ugens koncerter og udgivelser

Den første forårsuge er landet, og det bliver varmere i weekenden. Du ved, hvad det betyder: Det samme som altid. Ned i pladebutikken og ud på spillestederne.

Denne uges største begivenhed er Viborg Metal Festival. Festivalen gav ikke op, selv om Paletten mistede sin status som regionalt spillested, og det skabte nogle klart mere trange, økonomiske kår for VMF. Denne weekend ruller årets festival så ufortrødent af stablen med navne som Møl, Lotan, Dawn of Demise, ølbongerne i Tankard og de scatologiske Gutalax.

Syd- og Sønderjylland får besøg af Sorthandsk, og Pretty Maids rammer Roskilde. Vi skal heller ikke glemme, at det på lørdag er kvindernes internationale kampdag (Mændenes er den 19. november – sæt jer ned, mandetyper), og det fejrer Stengade i København med et punket lineup bestående af Stjernevask, Chæk og Overstimulated.  På Vega i København er der belgisk invasion med Hippotraktor, Cobra the Impaler og Bark.
BETA på øernes ø, Amager, får fint besøg af The Raven Age med en Iron Maiden-søn i lineuppet, nemlig George Harris. Absolut ingen point til dem, der kan gætte, hvem han er søn af.



Man skulle tro, at Cobra the Impaler var ugens bedste bandnavn, men den ære tilfalder Mylingen, der udgiver black-pladen 'Svartsyn' i denne uge. Mylingen er i den svenske folketro genfærd af nyfødte, udøbte spædbørn, der er blevet myrdet af deres mødre. Nuff said.
Der sker ikke det vilde på pladefronten, men du kan da få en gang deathcore med Whitechapel, og silkeborg-bajerbøllerne i Bonejammer viser os the way of the bone på ‘Carcinogenesis’. Det er noget med at spille hurtigt, forstås
